2013 Cherry-Roubaix Charity Ride benefiting the Munson Women’s Cancer Fund

Cherry-Roubaix is not just for road racers. We also welcome the recreational cyclists to join us for the third annual Charity Ride on Old Mission Peninsula.

The Munson Women’s Cancer Fund benefits from this year’s ride on Saturday, June 15th. This will be a “friendly” ride that offers all levels of cyclists the opportunity to participate in a dedicated route of 20 or 43 miles.

Riders will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Old Mission Peninsula. All riders will be lured to take respite under the pines on the stately veranda of the Bowers Harbor Inn, and Jolly Pumpkin will offer breakfast treats at this historic setting.

This ride starts early Saturday morning, downtown Traverse City and will finish in time to watch the start of the criterium. The goals of the Charity Ride are to promote a fun riding environment and most importantly raise money for The Munson Women’s Cancer Fund.

Start and Finish

There will be a 20 mile and 43 mile route. Both routes will start and finish in the Park Place Hotel parking lot in Traverse City. Start time is 8:30am.

Staging Area

Park Place Hotel parking lot beginning at 7:30am.

Ride Route

The ride leaves the Park Place Hotel, goes out to beautiful Old Mission Peninsula and returns the riders to the Park Place Hotel.

Riders can choose from either a 20 mile or 43 mile route.

Rest stop will be provided at the Jolly Pumpkin on Old Mission Peninsula.

Early Registration on Friday night - 6/14/2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Prologue Time Trial start, at the Peninsula Township Park, Bowers Harbor Rd. Traverse City, MI 49684

On Saturday morning (early!)- 6/15/2013 from 7:00am to 8:10am Packet Pickup/Registration will be at the Ride Start.
