In 2019 the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club was recognized by the Benzie Area Chamber of Commerce with the Chamber’s Community Impact award. This award is given in recognition of a nonprofit organization’s efforts to have a “positive impact on our community.”
The Bike Benzie Tour is the major annual fund-raiser for the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Foundation, enabling it to support a wide range of programs that positively impact the Benzie County community.
The Benzie Central Schools constitute a primary beneficiary of our work, with a Club program or event at virtually every grade level. In addition, we sponsor Rotary Interact Clubs at both the middle school and high school that participate in a variety of activities supporting the local community and embodying Rotary’s motto, "Service Above Self."
