The Bike Benzie Tour presents three cycling tour routes in Benzie County. The fun begins at The Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville. We have designed three cycling routes that appeal to avid cyclists. We are committed to provide a safe and rewarding experience with SAG support, food stops, and scenic vistas.

SAG Support and Cyclist Safety

The routes have been selected based on the experiences of local cyclists. For the most part we have selected roads with shoulders and minimal traffic for the time of year. Support vehicles will be on course with obvious support signage. They will be carrying tools, tubes, and pumps. They can also carry you to the nearest stop if necessary. In the event you cannot finish, they can arrange a ride back to Crystal Mountain.

Rules

  • Cyclists must follow the rules of the road

  • Yield to autos and signal your intentions

  • Ride single file only

  • Cyclists must wear helmets

  • Wear bright colors and use flashing rear lights

  • Be respectful of other cyclists, especially on the Betsie Valley Trail

  • Call the emergency phone number if you need assistance

  • Only Class 1 E-bikes (pedal assist) are allowed.

  • Be safe and have fun!
